A cheerful, if often absent-minded, shipgirl based on the real-life Japanese cruiser Atago. Her sister ship is Takao.

In the *Shimakaze Tsumujikaze no Shoujo* manga, she serves as Admiral Sumire Aosaki's secretary and turns down her romantic advances. She also has a tendency to slack off, which causes her sister to do her job for her, something which causes the two to occasionally make snide remarks at each other.
