Himeko Hanazuka

Himeko Hanatsuka is the main protagonist of <i>Kemuri to Mitsu</i>, a 12-year-old girl from the Hanatsuka family.

After her mother falls ill, Himeko moves from Tokyo to Nagoya, where she continues her life as an ordinary elementary schooler. Despite her young age, she is betrothed to Bunji Tsuchiya, a 30-year-old military officer—an arrangement that quietly shapes her future. Often seen wearing a beautifully patterned kimono, Himeko balances childhood innocence with the weight of adult expectations.
