He is one of four Shin'nuchi rank in the Arakawa School and member of Arakawa Arch Four.
He sat for the exam for Shin'nuchi 6 years ago. He is currently a famous personality in the world of rakugo and outside of it, since he usually shoots movies and television series. He is the judge for the Karaku Cup alongside Issho and Ryujaku.
