Leila is a merchant and a former thief. Leila's best friend is Sahsa. Before becoming a merchant, Leila was a thief who would join caravans and guide them to the Thieves Guild. But after meeting Sahsa, she decided to become a good person and became a merchant. (Source: Magi Wikia)
