A senator whose wife and daughter are held as hostages aboard the Flying Pussyfoot. Doing this, the terrorists are trying to get his support in freeing Huey Laforet. In the novels, Beriam has close ties with Nebula and works with them against Huey. Beriam is known to vehemently hate immortals although he helps Nebula create thousands of incomplete ones.
