Later it is revealed that Yohan is actually "God", the leader of the Angels of Death and all other mixed-blood vampires.

Yohan was saved by Hayan's parents by being turned into a mixed-blood vampire before he succumbed to grievous injuries resulting from bullying. However, his desire for power led him to kill both of Hayan's parents and eating her father's heart, turning him into a half-pureblood vampire. He attempted to take Hayan's heart to become a true pureblood but stopped himself out of sentimentality for their friendship, although he shows a seemingly renewed interest in taking her heart as an adult.
