Valeria Nerlinger is a Major General in the NVA, and Commander of Seelow Fortress position, Berlin’s last line of defense against the BETA. As such, she refuses to abandon the Fort regardless of what her subordinates might ask.
The commander has a 15 year old daughter in Berlin that has been weak ever since birth. She stays at home waiting for her mother to return home.
