Zen studies with Shimana and lives in the same apartment. He loves kung-fu and is obsessed with pandas. He has a father who's sick with asthma, and an older brother (Ken) that quit boxing to take care of the family. Zen's dream is to become a mangaka. He later falls in love with Shimana.
